My name is Ramin Atash and I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. My Family and I lived in Kabul until 1990 , by that time my parents decided to leave Afghanistan.
In 1990 we arrived in Germany and I started my school career and attended the secondary school.
Afterwards I attended the technical secondary school and completed it with the vocational baccalaureate diploma. In the same year I started studying in the faculty for civil engineering at University of Kassel. In 2002 I finished my degree dissertation and terminated my courses of studies successfully.
From 2002 until 2006 I was empolyed at an engineering company in Kassel. From October 2006 on I will work in Cologne.
Already in my younger days I was very interessted in Afghan music, at the age of 10 I was able to play Harmonia ( see video about live performance at the age of 10 with the musicband of Wahid Sabiri in Kabul. More information and video under ( www.raminatash.com ) & (www.myspace.com/raminatash) . In Germany I was quite busy with school and University but I always played an instrument in my spare time. I always liked to play and had performance at family- and birthday celebrations of my friend. My Father supported me a lot.
As a result of active demand I started in 2003 to sing at weddings. I received a lot of promotion and compliments resulting in even more concentration on Afghan music. I have to allude that my little brother Rasched Atash is also deeply interested in music. It's not easy to find an indian or afghani music teacher in Germany, we ad to learn without a music teacher.
Durring 2004 I started composing a few own songs and may brother makes the music sequence and we have started to produce a CD that is released in October 2006. It's my first CD and I'm hoping very much that the audience is going to love it. I want to say thank you for the support of Mr.Rasched Atash for Sequencing and Arrangement , Mr. Backy for Mastering and Mixing, , Mr. Burhan Amiri for playing Tabla and Dholak and Mr. Mamoon Tanomand for E-Guitar A-Guitar and Robab playing.
An extra big thank you for contribution to the lyrics goes to Mr. Safar Shamel. For more information and songs you can look on my homepage at www.raminatash.com and www.myspace.com/raminatash.
