Salaam...
For the past few days i have been very busy searching for different sources that conatains info on the death of our talented singer Nasrat Parsa. As a Afghan i was very chocked to hear such a sad and heart breakking news. I read all the comments and concerns of the other fellow Afghans, i should say the angry fellow Afghans. As a student myself, this incidence broke my heart, not only Nasrat Parsa's death but also the reactions of Afghans around the world. I understand that he was dear to all of us, and i beleive that what ever happens, happend for a reason. Maybe it was a wake up call for all us young afghans to wake up and bring a change in the world. If our youngsters are concerned about our talented singers or any other artists then we should get up and promote these talents. We should become more involved within our commuinty. I know that we have come from a country that has been through wars for at least 20 years, and i think now its enough. We should wake up and take the oath to bring a change and prove that our nation could do something. I am a very busy student, but i promise that if i could bring a change in our community i will be more than happy to volunteer and make a difference. I have been a volunteer at Princess Pargaret Hospitan, Sick Childeren Hospital and Mount Sainai and now i would love to help my own community and if anyone is willing for the same thing i would love to arrange a way that could help our youth to be involved and become a part of the community. "One person can make a difference". other than that i pray that God rest Nasrat Parsa's Soul and give his family, friends and fans the ability to bear his loss, he will be missed by each of us. He is gone from the world but will remain within our hearts as long as we are alive.
Thanks

It is indeed a big lost for Afghan’s music. Our sympathies are with Nasrat Jan’s family. The criminals whom they committed this crime must be brought to Justus. May god bless Nasrat Jan’s soul?

Salam,
Just wanted to pay deepest condolences to Nasrat's family, friends and fans. It is such a tragedy that most of us Afghans never tend to grow up and learn what someone else's life means.
We always complain about how all other cultures are so united and always support and promote their culture and their artists. We have to start from our own homes before we can point to others. We seriously need role models for these Afghan Youth who thinks that being in a gang or not being afraid of hurting others or being hurt is cool. We always tend to pick the worst points of any individual and follow that. That is why we are so behind not only as far as our Country is concerned but also morally. Our youth has to change their names into Italian or Spanish names inorder for them to feel secure and get noticed, yet they always make a point that they are Afghan. It is a shame to Afghans if being an Afghan means you have to pick fights everywhere you go and put other people down and disrespects others. That is not what an Afghan is. Why did a young person, someone's son, someone's husband, someone's brother had to die just because he didn't sing one song 10 times for some drunkard. I hope and wish that the person who brought on this tragedy gets what he deserves. I would like to wish that our youth can learn one bit of a lesson from this, but that is only wishful thinking, because as long as we have youth who give up their education for life on the streets and with gangs and we have no role models who can help them through the right path we will always have such tragedies.
Today I am sad to be an Afghan.........

I am from Vancouver, Canada, and the tragic death of Nasrat is all over our news here. The news stations said that there were three Afghani men that attacked him after the concert after they had been drinking alcohol and were not happy with the concert. I am not from Afghanistan nor am I Afghani but I am positive that I am speaking on behalf of all of Canada when I say that we are very, very sad to learn of Nasrat's death and the terrible way he died, and we offer our condolences to the family of Nasrat and all the Afghani people around the world. May Nasrat rest in peace.

Inalillahe wa ina ilaihe rajeon!!!
First of all may his soul rest in peace and, and his mother have patience of losing a wonderful and talented child. May god give his mother patience to live with this fact.....and indeed it was the worst gift of mothers day any mother could have.
This is a truly sad event for all afghans around the world, Afghans were given a chance to redeem themselves by coming to more cicilized countries and look what most of them do.
I hope they police catches every one of those people involved in his murder.

Khuda bebakhshesh was famil esha sabr beta. This is truly a sad incident. But, as shocking this is, I am not surprised. I knew down the line something like this would happen in an afghan function. After going to concerts, I have realized that afghan people are not worthy of anything but apathy.
I was not a big fan of Nasrat, but this has touched a cord with me.

This is unbelievably shocking.. I hope that you guys in Vancouver will update us with the news regarding the case. The guys who did this should be sent to prison in Afghanistan... where prison is designed to punish, not rehabilitate.
My heart is with his family during this time.. and may God grant him peace.. ena lilahi wa ena elayhi rajeoon.
